AFP Officers help and protect us everyday and during their service to us are affected greatly by trauma and loss.
Our amazing team of volunteers are committed to providing our Australian Federal Police members and their families, the support required when they require it the most.

Our non-profit organisation was formed in honour of Brad Hardy who was tragically lost on 6 March 2021.
Brad was a dedicated, young AFP officer who was committed to protect and serve his community. He always went out of his way to support those around him and was quoted as "one of the best. He wouldn't hesitate to give you the shirt off his back."
Brad's commitment to the AFP and his outlook on life, inspires our work for the foundation.
Our goal is to provide practical tools, education, and early intervention programs that help officers build resilience, manage stress, and prevent post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). We are dedicated to ensuring that every officer feels supporte

Our 2025 Golf and Ladies Day was an incredible day raising thousands of dollars for our Australian Federal Police.
All funds raise help us to assist terminally ill officers, provide specialised PTSD retreats, and deliver wellness programs that equip officers with tools to manage stress and anxiety.
Thank you to our wonderful sponsors and community for your continued support

BHF BARN DANCE FUNDRAISER
What a night! Our first ever Barn Dance was held at the Yarralumla Woolshed and it was a cracker!
Thank you to everyone who attended, all the amazing businesses who donated,
Stewart Barton and his band, our Barn dance Instructors Lauren and Geza
and finally our wonderful Committee!
We will definitely be holding another one in 2026!

Recently, BHF have been able to setup wellness sessions at Reset and Recovery in Belconnen for our AFP Officers.
The sessions have been run by Jamie who is an experienced coach in Breath work and contrast therapy.
The sessions provide a safe space for our officers to experience new ways to destress and to gain some of the tools needed to look after their mental health.
We have had so much positive feedback from our Officers. One officer who was dealing with serious sleep issues has reported to be having the best sleep ever since implementing these tools into their daily routine. Others have taken up memberships to regularly destress and look after themselves.
Nearly 40% of all AFP Officers have a mental health condition according to a National survey completed by Beyond Blue. BHF are working hard to reduce that statistic and are so grateful for all the support provided by our sponsors, volunteers and BHF Community. We can't provide these sessions without your ongoing support.

Thank you to the Canberra Raiders for once again supporting Brad Hardy Foundation.
We had 15 of our amazing volunteers selling over $10k worth of tickets in the 50/50 raffle!
All proceeds will provide wellbeing and mental health support to our wonderful AFP Officers who risk their lives daily to keep our community safe x

In 2025 our BHF Walk was held in Canberra and Adelaide!
Adelaide was an extremely hot day at 36 degrees. Although sweltering, those who attended had an enjoyable walk starting from Henley Beach with a few hitting the waves for a swim afterwards!
Our annual relay event was once again held at our Canberra walk and was between ACT Policing, AFP Protective Service Officers, AFP Recruits, BHF team as well as a NSW Policing Team. As always it was a hotly contested event with the AFP PSO team taking the trophy once again!
Thank you to everyone who sponsored, volunteered and attended the day.
It was once again, a great event raising thousands of dollars in support of our men and women in Blue!
